Cedar and Sage Development is a real estate development company & general contractor based in Eagle, Idaho. We operate in some of the fastest growing and most beautiful areas in the Northwest with operations in Idaho including Valley County and Treasure Valley, as well as operations in Washington including Suncadia, the Tri-Cities area and Spokane. Cedar and Sage is unique in that it is both a land developer and a general contractor. This vertical integration aspect affords Cedar and Sage opportunities in both markets and at substantial savings. This further speaks to our Core Focus niche ‘Opportunistic Real Estate Development’.
The team at Cedar and Sage is steeped in experience. From acquisition through the design and build process, the Company has all the tools and resources needed to deliver quality homes and multi-family residences to our clients. Being locally owned and operated, Cedar and Sage is passionate about developing the mountain communities in Suncadia and Tamarack as well as the more urban areas of Treasure Valley, the Tri-Cities and Spokane.

Dave Gintz
Founder & VisionaryGet To Know MeDave Gintz – Anyone who has met Dave will tell you about his energy, his commitment, and his vision. He is not only a builder by trade but also a builder of relationships and community. With over two decades of experience in real estate development, Dave’s journey began in 1999 as a mortgage loan officer and has grown into leading a dynamic land development and custom home construction company. Along the way, he co-founded four other real estate companies with partners before launching his own venture. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Arizona.
Guided by his personal philosophy of “Family First,” Dave and his wife Jenn are the proud parents of teenage daughters Makenzie and Lola, and their son Bryton, who is now married to his wonderful wife, Kenzie. -
Jed Cazier
Chief Business Development OfficerGet To Know MeJed Cazier has been a key figure in the Northwest construction industry since 2004, contributing to the development of numerous well-known restaurants, hundreds of homes, and multi-family projects. Over the course of his career, Jed has worked on construction and development projects totaling nearly a billion dollars. As the Chief Business Development Officer at Cedar and Sage Homes, he oversees field operations, ensuring top-tier performance from his team while delivering an exceptional experience for clients.
A proud father of three amazing children who are carving their own paths in service to the community, Jed is deeply committed to faith, family, and giving back. A devoted Christian and engaged community member, he grew up serving others and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He spent two years on the island of Puerto Rico on a Christian mission, becoming fluent in Spanish and is currently conversational in French as he continues to learn the language.
Jed has traveled the world and has a deep passion for learning about different people and cultures, believing that understanding others leads to greater love and connection. He finds joy in the building process, bringing projects to life, and creating spaces where families can thrive. Outside of work, he enjoys boating, skiing, and always being ready to lend a helping hand to those he meets.

Nick Walsh
Chief Development OfficerGet To Know MeNick Walsh brings a diverse background in accounting, finance, and real estate development. He earned a degree in Finance and Accounting from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, which led to a role with KPMG in their San Francisco office in 2005. While at KPMG, Nick focused on audits for real estate industry clients, gaining valuable experience reviewing quarterly and year-end financials, as well as bond offerings for a publicly traded REIT.
Following his time at KPMG, Nick transitioned into real estate development as a Manager with Land Associates, where he specialized in entitlements, financing, and partnership formation for single-family subdivision projects in Idaho. In 2010, he returned to California to earn a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the University of San Diego.
Since then, Nick has formed multiple partnerships to develop over 30 residential, multi-family, and senior living projects. He has directly managed more than $25 million in private equity funds and specializes in land acquisition, entitlements, financial analysis, partnership formation, and capital markets.

Rich Cook
Chief Financial OfficerGet To Know MeRich Cook is the Chief Investment Officer and former Chief Financial Officer for Cedar & Sage Homes and is primarily focused on investor relations and improving enterprise value of the organization. Prior to Cedar & Sage, Rich was the CFO of a software company within the vacation rental industry for 12 years. Having run the financials of the company since inception and having worked with the CEO daily to grow and mature the company, the company was successfully sold. Rich is vigilant in ensuring Cedar and Sage is positioned for growth to benefit its owners, investors, and employees.

Ben Ashton
Chief Construction OfficerGet To Know MeBenjamin Ashton is a dedicated husband and father of seven, four of whom were adopted. Family is central to his life, and the same values of commitment and integrity guide his professional work. With over 20 years in construction and real estate, Benjamin has built and led multiple successful companies across architecture, construction, landscape, and development — generating more than $27 million in annual revenue. His experience spans luxury custom homes and large multifamily projects exceeding $100 million in value. Known for his hands-on leadership and innovative approach, Benjamin brings vision, efficiency, and strong relationships to every project. Bilingual in English and Spanish, OSHA 30 certified, and a licensed General Contractor, he’s passionate about creating meaningful spaces and mentoring teams to achieve excellence.

Ron Walsh
Acquisitions ManagerGet To Know MeRon Walsh has built a distinguished career in real estate development, spanning multiple asset classes and more than three decades of experience. He began his real estate journey with Richard B. Smith in the Treasure Valley after attending Boise State University. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in the development of residential subdivisions, suburban office spaces, multi-family housing, and industrial facilities.
Between 1986 and 1992, Ron oversaw the development of over 600,000 square feet of multi-family units, commercial properties, high-bay flex buildings, and suburban office spaces in the Seattle area, managing every stage from acquisition and design to construction management, leasing, and sales. From 2001 to 2010, he led the acquisition, planning, and development of 25 subdivisions in the Treasure Valley, delivering a total of 2,400 lots.
Since 2010, Ron has focused on site acquisition, development, and capitalization for senior living communities in Texas and Arizona, as well as an age-restricted single-family subdivision in Idaho. His extensive expertise in project management, sales, and strategic planning continues to shape thriving communities across multiple markets.

Lindsay Holmes
Marketing ManagerGet To Know MeLindsay Holmes brings a unique blend of real estate expertise, marketing skill, and deep Idaho roots to every project. Born and raised in the Treasure Valley, she has a lifelong appreciation for the beauty, community, and opportunities the Northwest has to offer. Since 2003, Lindsay has built over 20 years of experience in finance, marketing, and real estate, giving her the ability to market homes effectively while guiding buyers, sellers, and partners through the process with confidence and clarity.
Whether promoting a new community, developing marketing campaigns, or building relationships with local partners, Lindsay is committed to providing exceptional personal service before, during, and long after the sale. Her “why” will always be community engagement, and she has spent years cultivating relationships with local businesses and organizations to help others thrive in Idaho.
Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys exploring the mountains—hiking, fishing, backpacking, camping, or snowshoeing, often with her dog by her side. She is also deeply connected to her large family, with three sisters, one brother, and more nieces and nephews than she can count, all of whom bring her constant joy and inspiration. -
Mark Konzek
Head of AccountingGet To Know MeMark Konzek brings extensive accounting experience dating back to 2012, including 8 years with the Idaho State Tax Commission and 2 years as a controller for a local organization. A Boise State University graduate, Mark holds a dual degree in Finance and Accounting, as well as an MBA with a focus in Construction Management.
His well-rounded background provides a strong foundation in financial operations, tax compliance, and reporting. Mark is recognized for producing accurate, high-quality financial statements, managing competing priorities with efficiency, and delivering reliable, detail-oriented support to both clients and internal teams.
Outside the office, Mark is a devoted husband and father of five. He enjoys golfing, coaching youth sports, and spending quality time with his family in the great outdoors.
